The Rider on a White Horse

11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse! Its rider is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a fiery flame, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knows except Himself. 13 He wore a robe stained with blood, and His name is called the Word of God. 14 The armies that were in heaven followed Him on white horses, wearing pure white linen. 15 From His mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it He might strike the nations. He will shepherd them with an iron scepter. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS  (Revelation 19:11-16 HCSB, emphasis mine)

I never get tired of reading this passage, or considering this scene. The rider on the white horse is obviously our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ! How awesome to KNOW that one of these days, this WILL HAPPEN! How GLORIOUS it is going to be! He will return in power, defeat the enemy, and setup His earthly physical reign – an eternal kingdom! Praise the Lord!

We, of course, will be with Him! We are those on white horses wearing pure white linen! How glorious a moment that will be! I will be there! My parents will be there! My wife’s parents will be there! I will meet and know my grandparents, for they will be there! It will be a glorious reunion, and wonderful battle, and a precious time with our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ!

The question is: “Will YOU be there?” also: “Will your family/friends be there?” We that know Jesus as Savior and Lord have this to look forward to. It helps us through the times of adversity that we all experience. However, if you do not know Jesus then you will not be there with Him, on His side, riding His white horses, and wearing His robes of righteousness! If you do not know Jesus – today is the day to accept Him! If you DO know Jesus – today is the day to witness about Him!

The time is short! We must GET BUSY!
