Even so Come, Lord Jesus!
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:20 NKJV)
The aged Apostle John yearned for the Man, the best Friend, the One that he walked and talked with for years, the One that he served for years – the Lord Jesus Christ. John’s relationship with Jesus was certainly unique – shared in some ways, but not entirely, by the other apostles. Pondering their relationship brings my thoughts around to my own relationship with Jesus. Do I yearn for His return? Do I groan in my spirit, impatient for that time when Jesus returns for me? Is my life centered around Jesus, or around something or someone else?
This last year is over, the new year is about to start, and I must change some of my ways. I must endeavor to behave differently. I must alter my schedules, and change my habits. If I am going to progress in my relationship with Jesus and be ready and yearning for His return, I must DO things!
My friends, we MUST GET BUSY!
