It’s all about love!
44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” Luke 7:44-47
It is not a formula, it is not a list of rules, it is not a specified set of steps to follow – it is all about the heart. The woman in this story loved much, Jesus said. I think one of the problems with the “so-called christians” of today (that is, those that claim the Name of Jesus as Savior, but live for the devil) is that there is no love for the Savior in their hearts. You cannot be truly a born-again Christian without love. God IS love, and without God true love CANNOT be found or expressed. Therefore, if there is no love in your heart, there is probably no Savior in your heart either.
Concerned about eternity? Go to Jesus! Having issues with your marriage? Go to Jesus! Struggling with your attitudes? Go to Jesus! Having relationship problems? Go to Jesus! HE is the only one that can put love back into your life, and save – not only your soul, but your marriage, your relational issues, and your attitude problems! HE is the Way!
Today’s challenge: Go to Jesus and ask Him for love in your heart!
