Ok, this may not be a very “spiritual” comment, but THAT’S DISGUSTING! God is giving His blessing on eating locust, katydid, crickets and grasshoppers. Yuk! I suppose that it’s a cultural thing, but I would much rather have a burger, thank you! I think that it is awesome that God has enabled me to live in a culture that allows me not to have to eat bugs! I suspect that He knew ahead of time that I just would not be able to deal with that well.
Don’t get me wrong, with all the experiences (most of which I would just as soon forget) that i’ve gone through in my life, I doubt that eatings bugs would cause me to lose my cookies. However, I don’t like the idea, and will gladly forfeit the experience as long as is possible. I know that I have an “iron stomach” and would be able to deal with it. I just don’t want to. Ever. Yuk.
If God ever asks me to, however, I will. Period. He is God, after all.
