It is so simple.
3 “If you follow My statutes and faithfully observe My commands, 4 I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit. 5 Your threshing will continue until grape harvest, and the grape harvest will continue until sowing time; you will have plenty of food to eat and live securely in your land. 6 I will give peace to the land, and you will lie down with nothing to frighten [you]. I will remove dangerous animals from the land, and no sword will pass through your land. 7 You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword. 8 Five of you will pursue 100, and 100 of you will pursue 10,000; your enemies will fall before you by the sword. Leviticus 26
It is, as usual, exceedingly simple. For some reason we go to great lengths to make things difficult for ourselves. We either choose to ignore the reality that we are in a battle on a constant basis, or we convince ourselves that the answer to personal victory lies in some “hidden secret truth” that we have not yet discovered. Many “cults” have formed over this idea of a “hidden secret truth” – and all of them will die and go to hell if they do not accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord!
There is NO “hidden secret truth,” the Bible makes the answers to our questions very simple. So simple, in fact, that all we have to do is read and obey the Word of God and we will find the answers to our life-questions! In this passage the secret to a victorious Christian life is spelled out very simply. If we, as born-again followers of Jesus Christ, will 1) follow HIS statutes and 2) faithfully observe HIS commands — the result is astounding victory! HE is the ONE that brings this victory about! And that victory is amazing! The blessings that He will bring will absolutely astound you – as well as undoubtedly perplex those around you that are not saved! His blessings run on a very different value system than the devil’s does (i.e. the world’s standards – same thing.) But they are astounding, VERY real, and tangible!
BUT, the qualification is stated at the first. HE is first, not us. HE decides our path, not us. HE sets the standard, not us. HE plans our life, not us. Having problems with this? Then I suggest you surrender your life to Him today! HE IS, after all, the ONLY way!
