When He Comes
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.” Luke 17:34-36 NKJV
Not enough can be said of the importance of remember our Savior’s return. The apathy that exists in our nation feeds the the blindness to the reality of the prophecy that Jesus said of Himself – one Day He will return! His return will be “like a thief in the night” and will be selective. Only those people that are ready, looking, anxious about, remembering, and living for Him the way HE wants us to will be taken by Him into Glory! Only those that have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord AND are living in a way that expects His imminent return will actually go with Him!
Those of us that meet that criteria know that the time approaches quickly. There was an old song years ago: “It Won’t Be Long” that I used to love. I haven’t heard it in a long time, and I suspect that it has been forgotten just like the truth about Jesus has been forgotten. But it is alive in my heart, and I am ready for my Lord’s return.
