Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

This is the reason that we use the term “born again.” It was stated by Jesus Himself! HE is the One that made that commandment. The explanation of that term is found in the famous 3:16 verse that nearly everyone in the country, at one time, could quote:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The joy found as a “Born-again” Christian is unparalleled! The steps are simple:

1. Recognize your sin, you are a sinner!
2. Believe in your heart that Jesus died to pay the penalty for that sin, and rose again from the dead,
3. Repent to God for is, that is ask His forgiveness and help to never sin that way again, and
4. Surrender the control of your life over to Jesus! He is so much wiser that you are, that all His decisions for your life are perfect! He knows what is best for you, and wants that best for your life!
